Student answer (Band 5.0)
Primary and secondary schools are given holiday in summer for atleast two months in many countries .
I agree to the given argument , as children work hard whole year and i feel they too deserve a long break but , vacation for more than two months might sound silly .
But i support that they need more number of school free days .
Students throughtout the year are confined to only particular thing , i.e wake up early get then dress up for school , hear to lectures then leave the school.
This loop continues from mondays till saturday .If we speak during examinations , it might get worse as many would find stressfull of not completing syllabus , missing notes and many stuffs .
Post exams , pupils are worried about results .
While other point is that shorter holidays ,which also has positive impact on students .
Getting less number of holidays can keep children in track , as they dont forget moral ethics easily.
Lecturers at school are more focused towards children discipline , as they are accountable for their social behaviour .Preceptors are the ones who are capable of handling a class , and therefore the future of students are shaped by them , and they make sure every detail is in their control as it should not be unmanagable .
Both the statements make a lot in sense , few students prefer short holidays meanwhile long holidays are also in favour of many.
To conclude with ,I do agree the fact where student need holidays as much as they deserve which is atleast two months .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by explaining why pupils may benefit from a break and by presenting a case for shorter holidays, and your conclusion gives a preference for substantial time off. However, the position is not fully consistent: you first say that holidays longer than two months may be “silly,” then conclude that students need “at least two months.” The ideas are also limited and under-developed. For example, you mention stress around examinations and the value of keeping children “in track,” but do not explain in detail how holiday length affects learning, wellbeing, or family life. Develop each argument with a clear explanation and a relevant example, and state precisely what holiday length you support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. However, the overall progression is not always clear, and links between ideas are sometimes mechanical or confusing. “While other point is that shorter holidays” signals a contrast, but the paragraph then shifts to discipline and teachers’ responsibility without clearly connecting these points to shorter breaks. The conclusion also repeats the two positions rather than resolving them. Some sentences run together or are separated inconsistently, which makes the flow harder to follow. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main argument, then connect supporting explanations with clear references and transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary related to schooling and student wellbeing, including “confined,” “examinations,” “discipline,” and “social behaviour.” This gives you some relevant language for the topic. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the response difficult to interpret, such as “hear to lectures,” “make a lot in sense,” and “more number of school free days.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “throughtout,” “stressfull,” and “unmanagable,” are also noticeable. Build a more reliable set of collocations for discussing holidays, learning, and stress, and check spelling and phrasing so your intended meaning is immediately clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and some longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “as children work hard whole year” and a sequence describing the school routine. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty structures. For example, “I agree to the given argument” is not formed naturally, while “as many would find stressfull of not completing syllabus” has an unclear grammatical relationship between the ideas. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the future of students are shaped by them.” Review basic sentence patterns and practise joining clauses with accurate conjunctions; also check punctuation and capitalisation when editing.
