Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions by explaining the value of longer holidays—rest, family time and practical skills—and giving reasons for shorter breaks, including lesson retention and difficulties for working parents. Your final sentence also makes your preference for shorter holidays clear. These are relevant points, but some are not fully explained: for example, you say students can learn skills such as painting and cooking, without showing why this benefit matters, and the point about parents is unclear in “children may irregularities their parents.” The comparison between the two holiday patterns could also be more balanced and supported with a specific example. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation or illustration so that all parts of the task are addressed more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on long holidays, a paragraph on shorter holidays, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “Beginning with” and “on the other hand” help readers follow the shift between the two sides, and the conclusion returns to the topic. However, several ideas are crowded together in long sequences, particularly in the first body paragraph, so the relationships between them are not always clear. Linking words such as “moreover” and “also” sometimes create a list rather than showing how one point develops from another. Some references, including “this activities,” are unclear. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “academic pressure,” “quality time,” “practical skill,” “creativity,” and “routine.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited in places and several spelling and word-choice errors make the reader pause, such as “colsed,” “inportance,” “benefites,” and “memories” where you mean “memorise.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “holiday vacations,” “upgrade their education skills,” and “irregularities their parents.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions for learning continuity, family responsibilities and recovery from stress would make your arguments clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect structure in “as a result their full syllabus may uncomplicated” and a sentence beginning “for example.” However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “its gives students” needs a subject and verb that agree, while “a long break help the reduce the stress” contains problems with agreement and sentence structure. There are also missing or misplaced articles, inconsistent capitalisation, and punctuation problems that cause several ideas to run together. Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar. Proofreading for agreement, articles and sentence boundaries will improve clarity.
