Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify a relevant benefit of long holidays: students can rest, take part in extracurricular activities, play games, and spend time with grandparents. These examples show an attempt to explain the value of the break. However, the response addresses only this part of the question. It does not explain any arguments in favour of shorter holidays, and the ideas about learning and development are brief rather than supported with clear reasoning or a specific example. The personal reference at the end is unfinished and does not clarify what you learned from your experience. The response is also below the required 250 words, so there is not enough development to cover both questions. Address each part directly and extend each main point with an explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an opening paragraph introduces the topic, a second paragraph discusses possible benefits, and a final paragraph begins a personal example. This gives the reader some sense of structure. However, progression is limited because the response stops before developing the personal example or moving to the arguments for shorter holidays. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, and phrases such as “These value and benifits … discuss with arguments in below” do not guide the reader effectively. Use clear topic sentences for each question, then connect supporting points with straightforward linking expressions such as “For example” and “In contrast.” Complete each paragraph so that the argument develops logically from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “extracurricular activities,” “capabilities,” and “summer holidays,” and the reader can generally identify the subject of your response. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. For example, “Holidays have a lot of role” and “the relaxing from study” are not natural expressions, while “pros and corns” appears to mean “pros and cons.” There are also repeated errors such as “Differents,” “benifits,” and “joyfull.” Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing education and holidays, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise, natural expressions over attempts at more complex wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use mostly simple statements and make an attempt at a longer sentence, such as “Researcher do study to improve the capabilities of primary student with adding extracuriculam activities.” This shows some effort to express relationships between ideas, but the range of sentence structures remains narrow and control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur in examples such as “Researcher do study,” “primary student,” and “Long summer break have.” The final lines also contain sentence-boundary and punctuation problems, including the lowercase “it” after a full stop and an incomplete thought. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” or “which,” checking subject–verb agreement and complete sentence structure.
