Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many nations, primary and secondary schools have vacation for two months or more in hot summer holidays.
There are two main positive points of long holidays in schools. The primary reason for this is student work very hard throughout the year so they need a break from the studies and school stress. If students free from all the stress they grow faster and due to break it will improve their memory and help to development of child's growth. The second most valid reason is during holidays they learn about other intrest, develop skills and play sports. If children's get longer holidays in schools so they will play different games and enjoy their life and it will improve their skills and develop new hobbies and most important they learn about social interaction. Best example for this is one of my relatives child who is totaly involve in studies and due to this he has no other social skills and less friends, But after so many suggestions he finaly communicate with others and play with their school friends. after that he develop intrest in cricket and now he is very good batsman and paly very well cricket.
There are also two main reasons for shorter school holidays. The first reason is students get cop-up easily in next standard. If schools have shorter vacations so child have remember all studies and understand easily next year subjects. The second most important reason for shorter holidays is continuous educational rhythm. If there are shorter holidays in schools then students rhythem in studies is not break and they easily learn and teachers give less afferts to revise all the lesions. For instance, In my schools we have only four weeks of summer holidays. So i easily copup all the studies and understand all the stubjects very well.
In conclusion, Both have their own prons. Longer holidays improve children's overall growth and skills, whereas shorter holidays help them to not loss their learning and break the rhythm of studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions and present a balanced response: long holidays are linked to rest, personal development and social skills, while shorter breaks are said to support continuity in learning. The examples about your relative and your own school experience make the points relevant. The response therefore covers the task, but the two sides are not developed equally clearly. The relative’s story illustrates social development, yet the link between a long break and improved memory or growth is asserted rather than explained. Similarly, the claim that shorter holidays help students cope with the next grade would benefit from a clearer explanation or evidence. Your conclusion summarises the contrast, though a more precise final position would strengthen the response further.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the advantages of longer and shorter holidays, and a concluding comparison. Signposting such as “The primary reason,” “The second most valid reason,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main points. This gives the essay a coherent progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear, particularly the repeated “If… so…” constructions, and the long anecdote about your relative contains several ideas joined together without clear sentence boundaries. References such as “it” and “they” are occasionally ambiguous. To improve, use a wider range of natural transitions and divide examples into shorter sentences, making each sentence’s connection to the main argument explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “social interaction,” “educational rhythm,” “revise,” and “overall growth,” and these choices help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, word-form and spelling errors make parts less natural or occasionally difficult to understand. Examples include “vacation” for school holidays in this context, “intrest,” “cop-up,” “lesions” when you mean lessons, and “prons.” Phrases such as “grow faster” and “less afferts” also do not express your intended meaning clearly. Aim to learn common word partnerships for education and development, and proofread spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer without requiring more complicated language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If schools have shorter vacations…” and clauses explaining reasons. This shows an effort to vary sentence structure. However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, plurals and punctuation occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “student work very hard” needs a plural subject and a correctly formed verb, while “If students free from all the stress” is missing a verb. In “If there are shorter holidays… students rhythem in studies is not break,” the clause structure is also unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
