Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays,it is very common thing that some primary and secondry schools are close for two month or more. Some individuals think that summer holidays should more shorter. In my perspective holidays should be longer than two months. There is some several reasons
On the one hand, mostly schools close in summer because after the busy year, students have right to do rest. Some schools are close beacause it is school responsibility to faclitate students. If students study whole year without any break. This can make them panic or depressed. In the holidays, students can spend their important time with their family and do many kind of activities. For instance, they focus on outdoors games as well as focous on their hobbies. Moreover, some of them, plan family trip as well as particiepate in sports fastivals. Therefore, its make them energetic and fresh.Students can make this time more special with families and friends. some students have holidays school work. Therefore, two months are very short time to complete school work.School holidays should be longer than two months
On the other hand, some colleges are very strict about education. They believe that education is very crusial for every student. Therefore they have limitid days.Furthermore.speacillay in the summer. Many students face difficulty to come school. In the summer,it could be challenging for students. Therefore, i believe that government should take actions on that schools which do not allow holidays more than 2 months
In conclution,in long summer holidays they cand spend their speacial time with their families and can do many activities. Some of them can do their holiday work.Government should take action on these mafia's

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general preference for longer holidays, and the point that students need rest after a busy school year is relevant. You also mention family time, hobbies, sports and holiday work as benefits. However, the task asks both for the value of long holidays and arguments in favour of shorter ones, and the second part is only partly addressed. The paragraph about shorter holidays mainly says that some schools value education and that summer travel to school can be difficult; it does not explain clearly why shorter breaks might benefit learning or prevent students from forgetting material. Several ideas are listed rather than explained, so the response only partially develops the task. Develop both sides with specific reasons and examples, and state your position consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from rest to family activities, then holiday work, without clear links between these points. Connectors such as “Therefore” are repeated and sometimes do not show a logical result, while “Moreover” introduces another list rather than developing the argument. Some references are unclear, including “they have limited days” and “these mafia’s.” Use one main idea per paragraph, explain it in sequence, and choose linking phrases that accurately express the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “hobbies,” “family trip,” “sports festivals,” and “energetic and fresh.” This gives you a basic range for discussing holidays and student wellbeing. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise, and frequent spelling and word-form errors make parts of the response harder to understand, such as “secondry,” “faclitate,” “crusial,” and “speacillay.” Phrases such as “do rest,” “many kind of activities,” and “holiday work” are not natural or sufficiently precise in context. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the educational and personal benefits of each holiday length.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences using clauses and linking words, for example, “If students study whole year without any break. This can make them panic or depressed.” However, the conditional is separated into a fragment, and errors in articles, verb forms, agreement and sentence boundaries occur frequently. Examples include “schools are close,” “students have right,” and “its make them energetic.” Punctuation and spacing also make sentence boundaries unclear, particularly where a full stop is followed by a new idea without a capital letter. These problems sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Practise building complete simple sentences first, then combine them accurately with “because,” “if” and “which”; check subject–verb agreement and articles during revision.
