Student answer (Band 5.5)
The educational departments mainly higher and lower schools remain close in summer vacations in most of the country to engage the children in some other activities too and to relax pupils. But there are some conflict for fewer school vacations because after the long term of holidays studants attention diverge and teachers are also affect by this due to lack of pay in these duration. In my essay i will explain both views in detail.
As we all know that schools were remaind enclosed in certain period of time in various nations and there are some benefits of these long term vacations.Firstly, this is the time when children enjoy their life by participating in some other activities which facinate them and spend their time to learn something new not related to their studies.Futhermore, they also feel relax because of engaing themselves in the field they like most and not having the pressure of all day work, monthly tests and termly exams besides that they spend much time with their family and be able to urderstand and learn the things that are freshly for them like swimming, baking and music etc.
In contrast of that some people have frimly believe on short holidays because they think that pupils are not be able to pay attention of their studies seriously.Their focus on the studies deminish and they spend all their all their time useless activities. As a result of that it reading and writing become harder for them and they lose their motivation about to work hard.Morever, it is also unfair for some school teacher who teaches in juniour and senior school because some institude do not pay the teachers during this duration as a result of that they suffer from some wealth issues like not be able to pay their electic bills and other home expenses.
To sum up this, as institude remain closed during some duration of weather so there are some opportunities for student to relax and learn some thing new but after lond term vacations pupils not able to pay attention of their studies and it is also unwealthfull for some teachers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: the first body paragraph explains how a long break gives children time for hobbies, family and learning activities such as swimming or music, while the second presents concerns about lost study focus and teachers’ income. These are relevant ideas, and the introduction signals that both views will be discussed. However, the response only partially develops the arguments. For example, the benefits are listed rather than explained in depth, and the case for shorter holidays would be stronger with a clearer explanation of how shorter breaks support learning or help students retain knowledge. The conclusion repeats the main points but does not give a clear overall judgement. Develop each main idea with a reason or specific example, and make your position explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for the value of long holidays, one for shorter holidays, and a conclusion. This makes the two sides reasonably easy to follow. You also use signposts such as “Firstly,” “In contrast,” and “To sum up.” However, some linking is mechanical, and several sentences contain too many ideas joined together, particularly the long sentence beginning “besides that they spend much time with their family.” The reference in “As a result of that it reading and writing…” is unclear, and repeated wording such as “all their all their time” interrupts the flow. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each supporting point directly to the idea it explains.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “participating,” “motivation,” “pressure,” and “expenses,” and examples such as “swimming, baking and music” make the discussion more specific. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “time,” “studies,” and “activities,” while frequent spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “facinate,” “deminish,” “institude,” and “unwealthfull.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “pay attention of their studies” and “wealth issues.” Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will help you express the ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when,” and “as a result.” This shows an effort to explain causes and consequences. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries can make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “pupils are not be able to pay attention” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “schools were remaind enclosed” does not form a correct passive construction. The opening also joins sentences without adequate spacing or punctuation. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms during revision.
