Student answer (Band 5.0)
In today's era, no doubt education has become the most basic thing in this world. For a person to evolve properly in society education is must. There are plenty of institutes around the world to get knowledge but beside this a break from the book's knowledge is necessary.
In many countries, primary and secondary schools close for approximatly for 2 months so that the children explore the things by themselves. It is required for the young one's to get a relief from mind and try something new like engaging with their hobbies, learning new skils and exploring world. Example camping, dancing, traveling etc. This gives them the experience of real world which is must in this time period.
On the other hand, people think it as a waste of time and education. They think that when the students will become successful, they will get more time to do such things. Parent's think of it as a distraction for their children. It diverts the attention of the knowledge seekers.
Generally, it should be a rule to provide students some time period from stressful and scheduled routine. It helps them to bloom themselves and to learn something that is new and interesting.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions in a relevant way: you explain that long holidays let children rest, pursue hobbies and gain experience beyond school, and you mention the opposing view that holidays may distract from education. However, the second part is only briefly covered, and the response does not clearly explain the arguments for shorter holidays or develop them with examples. Your final paragraph mainly repeats the benefits of a break rather than weighing the two positions. The response is also 191 words, below the required 250; the nine words copied from the prompt are excluded from that count. To strengthen the answer, explain specific benefits of shorter breaks, such as maintaining learning routines, and support each main point with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to the benefits of long holidays, an opposing view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal a change in viewpoint. However, the overall progression is limited: the paragraph about shorter holidays gives only a few general claims, and the conclusion returns to the first position without resolving the comparison. Some connections between ideas are abrupt, as in “Parent's think of it as a distraction” followed by “It diverts the attention.” Use clearer links to show how each point supports the argument, and organise the body into balanced paragraphs that address each question separately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “stressful and scheduled routine,” “engaging with their hobbies,” and “real world.” These phrases show an attempt to express ideas beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “break from the book's knowledge,” “evolve properly,” and “bloom themselves.” Spelling errors, including “approximatly” and “skils,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise academic expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe holidays as allowing students to “pursue personal interests” or “consolidate their learning,” depending on the point you want to make.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly straightforward sentence patterns, with some attempts to connect ideas through clauses, as in “so that the children explore the things by themselves.” Meaning is generally understandable, but errors occur frequently enough to limit control. Examples include “education is must,” which needs an article, and “For a person to evolve properly in society education is must,” where punctuation is also needed. In “when the students will become successful,” the verb form is not appropriate for a future time clause. There are also problems with possessives and sentence construction, such as “Parent's think.” Practise accurate articles, verb forms in subordinate clauses, and punctuation, then vary sentence structures while keeping them controlled.
