Student answer (Band 5.5)
School can plays a significant role in their children lives. In numerous countries, primary and secondary schools are provide a long summer holidays around two or more months. The long holidays can also enjoy student and more spend quality time with family and friends and particular doing their hobbies and some draw backs to long holidays. This essay, I will argue that shorter school holidays because children also teaches to subject and learn to new things.
To commence with, school can provide a lots of knowledge to children like eductional, historical, geological and future related that's why school can plays important role in children lifes. Initially, a long holidays that time student also more quality time spend with their family and friends. Moreover, children can more time spend with their hobbies and particular interesting activies. Furthermore, they can enhance different skills like sports, business, particular intersting their hobbies related skills developed.
On the flip side, shorter school holidays are more important rather than longer holidays. Shorter holidays can provide a maximum time to spend thier activity and after that doing their focus in the acedemic subject and their career. A longer holidays can more time to leave the school, some topics are important so that topic forgot this topics and breake with the acedemic subjects. However, that break cover a need time to keep regular routing and also distract studues. Short holidays cannot break their regular routine subject and constant studying this subjects. Furthermore, they can play a one type constant role their studies and children not easily distact with their studies.
In conclusion, although long vacations are useful but short holidays are most important than long holidays because sort holidays cannot reduced grips about studies and focusing on the studies. In my opinion, I always agree with short holidays.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question and make your preference for shorter holidays clear, especially in the introduction and conclusion. You also identify relevant benefits of long breaks, including time with family and friends and opportunities to pursue hobbies, and argue that shorter breaks help students maintain study routines. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples. The value of long holidays could be developed further—for instance, by explaining how rest or family activities benefit children. The case for shorter holidays also needs clearer reasoning about how a shorter break supports learning. Some statements, such as schools providing “a lots of knowledge,” do not directly answer the comparison. More focused explanation and examples would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your discussion, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “On the flip side,” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several points repeat the same claim about study routines and focus. Some linking expressions do not accurately show the relationship between ideas, while references such as “that topic” and “this topics” make it difficult to follow what is being discussed. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use clearer references and fewer, more precise connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and leisure, including “academic subjects,” “quality time,” “skills,” and “regular routine.” There is also some effort to vary expression through phrases such as “On the flip side.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, including “a long holidays,” “constant role their studies,” and “cannot reduced grips about studies.” Spelling and word-form errors, such as “eductional,” “intersting,” and “distact,” are also noticeable. These issues sometimes make the reader work to understand your point. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and collocations; prioritise clear, natural wording over complicated expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You try to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “although” and clauses beginning with “because.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in examples such as “School can plays” and “schools are provide”; articles and plurals are also inconsistent in “a long holidays.” Sentence construction can obscure meaning, as in “This essay, I will argue that shorter school holidays because children also teaches to subject.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention as well. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and articles.
