In summer many countries, primary and secondary schools close for two to three months summer hoildays. Summer hoildays are consider valuable in terms of relaxing children minds, more time for family. Mostly people ague in favour of shorter school holidays.
These summer hoildays mostly followed by primary and secondary schools situated in hotest areas of word like Dubai, Pakistan and India. The main reason behind this longer summer break is weather. Survival of children is very tough and impossible in hot environment beacuse they are too young and senstive. Moreover, summer hoildays are also very valuable for pupils and their families for spending more time together. Many students aslo take part in extracurricular activities in regular school days but summer hoildays give them more time for these activities. For instance, primary and secondary schools in pakistan have summer hoildays every year, resulting in students mind to be relax for sometimes from books, and give them more time for family trips and events.
Many people argue that shorter school holidays are favourable good. They belive that young pupils have less sharp mind and school courses are tough and lenghy. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you explain the value of longer breaks through rest, family time, extracurricular activities and the hot climate, then give reasons for shorter holidays, including keeping pupils connected to their studies and completing the syllabus. These points are relevant, but several are asserted rather than clearly explained. For example, the claim that shorter breaks help students complete courses “timely” needs a clearer account of how the school calendar supports this, and the comparison between private and public schools is difficult to follow. Your position is also not fully clear: the introduction says people mostly favour shorter holidays, while the conclusion mainly restates the benefits of longer ones. Make your view explicit and develop each main argument with a precise explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “To illustrate” help signal examples and additions. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and the conclusion is split into two short paragraphs that repeat earlier points rather than bringing the comparison together. Some links are mechanical or do not show the relationship precisely; for example, “By authorizing short summer vacations” does not clearly connect the proposed change to the syllabus argument. References such as “By completing this” are also unclear. Group related ideas more tightly, use linking expressions that accurately show cause or contrast, and make the final paragraph synthesise both sides.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “extracurricular activities,” “summer break,” “syllabus,” and “family trips,” and the reader can generally identify your intended points. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “summer holidays,” “shorter holidays,” and “valuable.” Frequent spelling and word-choice problems make parts difficult to interpret, such as “hoildays,” “sallybus,” “hotest areas of word,” and “student-books bond.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “relaxing children minds” and “favourable good.” Build a more accurate set of topic expressions and check spelling carefully. Prefer precise, natural phrases—for example, “give pupils time to rest” and “maintain continuity in learning”—rather than repeating broad or unclear wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation. Examples include “Summer holidays are consider valuable,” “These summer holidays mostly followed,” and “students mind to be relax,” where the grammatical relationships are unclear. There are also sentence-boundary and capitalisation problems, such as the comma splice in “These are also valuable … While many people have argument…” and inconsistent capitals after full stops. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly formed verb and appropriate punctuation.
