Student answer (Band 5.0)
From my prespective importance of long school holidays at summer in primary and secodary schools which used to be two or a quater months are less impactful.
I am totally in side of the arguments to shorter school holidays. I think longer gap from the study may effect the interest of the study and also its make a huge gap between childrens and desipline, practise, routine they have had made and learned. Most of the perants face dificultty after the vecation. It also change there habit and routine too. In a study its found that if people do or follow any routine consistanle for 21 days its become a habit so this long time holiday causes very mejor changes in that time which are usually dificult to change after the vacation. From my personal experiance when we where kids we used our most of the time in playing, watching TV's and traveling to different places which give us so much pleasure and fun but when we visit the institution after the vacation we can not focuse on the study for the first few days. It's also change our sleeping petarn which is also creat a mejor issue on study and desipline.
So, from my view this long vacations should be stop. We can understand that its provided to protact youngers from the summer heat and the summer season fruits but it should no be so long that children forgot any kind of there routine or desipline. In this era they can manage online classes if the heat got extrime. It is at least not let the younger to detach from the desiplinary studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear preference for shorter holidays, and you explain relevant concerns: losing study routines, difficulty readjusting, and parents’ challenges during the break. The personal example about playing and struggling to focus after returning to school helps make your view concrete. However, the task asks both for the value of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones. The value of long holidays is only briefly acknowledged through protection from summer heat and access to seasonal fruit, without explaining these benefits. The case for shorter holidays is more developed, but several points repeat the idea of disrupted routines rather than extending the argument. Address both questions more evenly and explain each point with a specific consequence or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall shape: an opening position, a paragraph explaining concerns about long breaks, and a concluding recommendation. Ideas such as disrupted routines and difficulty returning to study are generally connected, and the personal example supports the main argument. However, progression within the main paragraph is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together in long sentences, with limited punctuation. For example, the discussion moves from parents’ difficulties to a study about habits and then to personal experience without clear transitions. The conclusion introduces online classes but does not fully connect this suggestion to the earlier reasoning. Use clearer paragraphing and linking phrases to distinguish arguments, examples, and the opposing benefits of long holidays.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “routine,” “discipline,” “vacation,” “institution,” and “summer heat,” and the reader can generally understand your main position. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are inaccurate or repeated, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “importance of long school holidays,” “gap from the study,” and “detach from the disciplinary studies”; these are not natural collocations in this context. Spelling errors such as “prespective,” “secodary,” and “dificultty” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of topic phrases, such as “retain learning,” “readjust to school routines,” and “provide a break from academic pressure,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional idea about maintaining a routine for 21 days and a sentence beginning “when we were kids.” These attempts show some willingness to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader pause. For instance, “it also change their habit” has subject–verb agreement and pronoun problems, while “if people do or follow any routine … its become a habit” has errors in verb form and sentence structure. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “a huge gap between childrens and desipline, practise, routine.” Practise shorter, accurate sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, tense, and punctuation.
