Student answer (Band 5.0)
Todays, in some cities, primary and secondary school close for two months or more in the summer holidays. I think school close for holidays and holidays time teacher has a rest in the house and they was traveled with families in wonderfull places and students was enjoy with this time but children has not focus to be study and they are distract for studies.
On the one hand, the mostly value of long school holidays. Firstly, teachers are rest for this time and they was time spend with relatives. Furthermore, they will travel to be some place plus enjoy for families. Students had enjoy with holidays trips ang kids has went to uncle house as well as they was played game with freinds. teachers are going to the theater and watching for film with relatives and they are work for house with families. Mostly children and teachers are rest with this time they are very tired with school period but school holidays time they can enjoye with many times. They was time spend for relatives.
On the other hand, longe shool holidays is do not significant, furthermore shrter school holidays is good. Secondaly, kids was not study with this period because they are busy for relatives and kids studies to be desturbing in this time. Long school holidays mostly effect for students do not effect by teachers. Than long school holidays do not significant shorter had good with children life. Mostaly student go to travel with parents they do not teaching books they busy for freind with play game and the are future time exam to be fell and they are regrate, while wrong with us.
In conclusin, many primary and secondary schools close for long holidays this is a good with teacher is resting and student will time spend to the families but student do not studies for this period than school holidays are both advantage and disadvantage with kids and teachers life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: the first body paragraph gives reasons for long holidays, such as rest and time with family, while the second argues that shorter breaks could help children keep studying. The conclusion also recognises advantages and disadvantages. However, the response only partially develops these points. Several examples repeat the idea of visiting relatives or playing games, and the case for shorter holidays is difficult to follow, especially in “Long school holidays mostly effect for students do not effect by teachers.” Your position is not consistently clear: the opening says children become distracted, but the conclusion mainly emphasises the benefits of holidays. Explain each side with a clear reason and a relevant example, then state your view directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These paragraph breaks help readers identify the two sides of the discussion. However, there is no clear progression within the paragraphs: ideas about teachers resting, family visits, travel, films and housework are added in a list, and “They was time spend for relatives” repeats an earlier point. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Secondaly” are used, but they do not always show a clear relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, support it, and use clear references and transitions rather than repeating points.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “summer holidays,” “students,” “teachers,” “studies” and “exam,” so the general topic is apparent. However, the range is limited and many words or phrases are repeated, particularly “holidays,” “families” and “students.” Several inaccurate choices make meaning unclear, such as “the mostly value,” “kids studies to be desturbing” and “they are regrate.” Spelling errors, including “wonderfull,” “freinds” and “conclusin,” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing learning and rest, and check spelling and word forms. For example, distinguish between “revise,” “fall behind” and “take a break” rather than relying on general references to studying or enjoying time.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences using “but,” “because” and “while,” and you use basic present and past forms. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and attempts at longer sentences are often faulty. Verb forms and tense are frequently inconsistent: “they was traveled,” “students was enjoy” and “kids has went” do not form correct verb phrases. Subject–verb agreement is also a recurring problem, as in “school close” and “holidays is.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause. Check that each subject matches its verb and keep the tense consistent within each example.
