Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear view that long holidays are harmful and that shorter breaks are preferable, and you mention possible effects such as children forgetting their studies and developing bad habits. However, the task asks both about the value of long holidays and arguments for shorter ones. The value of longer holidays is not really explained: you briefly mention time with parents and leisure, but then dismiss these points without developing them. Your reasons for shorter holidays are also repeated rather than supported with specific examples. The response contains 197 words, below the required 250; 26 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both sides with distinct reasons and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic overall structure: an opening paragraph states your position, the next discusses holidays, and the final paragraph gives your preference for shorter breaks. This helps the reader identify your main view. However, progression within paragraphs is weak, and ideas are often repeated, especially the claims that children play games, watch movies, and forget their studies. Phrases such as “in the context” do not clearly connect the points, while repeated use of “because” makes the links mechanical. Some sentences run together without clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for the benefits of long holidays and the case for shorter ones, then connect each reason to an explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, but it communicates the central topic and position through words such as “holidays,” “children,” “studies,” and “shorter.” You also attempt to express consequences with phrases such as “bad habits” and “new generation.” However, repeated wording limits precision, and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, including “desition,” “weast,” “effact,” and “vecation.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “no value long school holidays” and “spend some time of their parents.” Build a more varied set of accurate expressions for benefits and drawbacks, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You mainly use simple statements and make an attempt to join ideas with clauses using “because” and “when.” This shows some effort to explain causes and effects, but the range of sentence structures remains very limited. Errors in sentence formation and grammar are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “when start of holidays childrens are happy” lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “children are forget their studies” uses an incorrect verb form. Agreement, articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention; many ideas are joined into long strings without full stops. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed clauses and use sentence-ending punctuation consistently.
