Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries, primary and secondary school close for two months or more in summer holidays due to several asspects. In Asian countries, school closed due to extreem weather condition, whereas other major reason behind holidays is session end. In march, before summar start primary and secondary schools declared final term result and after that declared holidays. Long school holidays for pupils in summar are valueble in terms of their mindset, physical growth and break from busy schedule.
Longer vacation for younger students is beneficial in multiple aspects. Students get enough time during this break to spend with parents, siblings and other family member. They have a much leisure time to go for trip or participate in sports events. These activities that they perfome in holidays make them physically strong. Childrens also get a chance to build social connection during these days. Summer vacation also significant for kids health; Although, extreem heat wave in these days become horrible. The temperature rise up dramtically in summar and cause many problems for pupils during off time at noon. Summer break will help them to stay at home, subsequently, they survive high temperature atmosphere.
From my perspective, there are no arguments in favour of shorter vacations in school, whereas, some people believe the more few will be off days the more time students will get to study. The health concern is also connected with breaks because the routine of yonger children is to tight during opening days. So its best for them to get some break from hectic schedule .
Overall, break in study for longer period brings a multiple benefits for students. Childrens will get some spare time in vacations for other engagements rather than just study all day. This will help them to grow physically and mentally.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by explaining benefits of extended breaks—family time, sport, socialising, physical development and protection from extreme heat—and by stating that you see little support for shorter holidays. These points are relevant, but the second part is only partly answered: you mention that shorter breaks could give students more study time, then dismiss this view rather than explaining its possible value or weighing it against the benefits of long holidays. The opening discussion of school calendars and term results also takes space without directly developing the task. To strengthen the response, present a clear comparison and support each main point with a specific explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on the benefits of long holidays, a paragraph addressing shorter holidays, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the discussion. However, progression is uneven because the opening focuses on why schools close, while the final body paragraph shifts quickly between study time, health and children’s routines. Some links are mechanical or unclear, such as “whereas” in the sentence about there being no arguments for shorter vacations, and “subsequently” before the claim about surviving high temperatures. Organise the body around one main idea per paragraph, use clearer transitions to show contrast, and make references such as “these days” or “this” explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “physical growth,” “social connection,” “hectic schedule” and “heat wave,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “asspects,” “extreem,” “valueble,” “dramtically” and “engagements.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “much leisure time,” “the more few will be off days” and “temperature rise up.” These errors sometimes make the meaning harder to follow, particularly in the discussion of shorter holidays. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common collocations, for example “more free days,” “spend leisure time” and “temperatures rise.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “whereas” and a cause-and-effect construction with “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “primary and secondary school close,” tense and article problems in “school closed” and “in march,” and plural or agreement errors in “other family member” and “Childrens … make them.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable: “Summer vacation also significant for kids health; Although…” joins ideas incorrectly, while “So its best” needs an apostrophe and more appropriate sentence punctuation. Practise accurate sentence patterns, especially agreement, articles, plurals and punctuation, before adding more complex clauses.
