Student answer (Band 5.0)
In India holidays are very common because there is so many festival in India but there is an summer holidays in starting of April to ending of June the because at that that time the son is on its peak face. Its heat goes 40 Celsius to 50 Celsius. This essay will discuss with merits and detriment associated with this trend in ensuring writeup and appropriate example.
Nowadays in India the is so high because of that children get dehydrate and get the lot of health problem and get the long holidays from school like in year 2019-20 the student get holiday of 2.5 months areas of western reason because of the heat wave in a in that areas and India lies in tropical reason.
In India there are lot's of arguments on short holidays but at last the result get over on long school holidays because there are few people prefer short holidays and other side majority people prefer long holidays because they can learn other skill on other thing or gives knowledge on other than school thing that increase ability of student like learning dance, swimming or any other thing.
In conclusion I also agree on the long school holidays because that increase the skill of there and get the rest after heavy exams and all. That help to reduces the stress of student in holidays students are free and do anything they want.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic by explaining why long summer breaks may be valuable in India, particularly during extreme heat, and by mentioning rest and opportunities to learn skills such as dance or swimming. However, the two parts of the question are not covered evenly: the value of long holidays is discussed, but arguments in favour of shorter holidays are not clearly explained. The statement that “few people prefer short holidays” reports a view without giving reasons for it, and your position is only made explicit in the conclusion. The example about the 2019–20 break is relevant but difficult to follow. The response is also 14 words below the required minimum. Develop both sides with clear reasons and examples, and state your view earlier.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has four paragraphs, and the introduction, body paragraphs and conclusion give it a recognisable overall structure. You also use basic links such as “because,” “In conclusion” and “on the other side” to connect points. However, progression between ideas is often unclear: the second paragraph begins “Nowadays in India the is so high,” leaving the reader unsure what “the” refers to, while the third paragraph shifts from public preferences to children’s activities without a clear transition. Some sentences combine several points, making relationships difficult to follow. Use one main idea per paragraph, introduce the shorter-holiday argument separately, and use clear references and linking phrases to show how each example supports your point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “heat wave,” “health problem,” “long school holidays,” “stress” and “ability,” and examples such as “learning dance, swimming” help make the subject concrete. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, as in “the son is on its peak face” and “ensuring writeup.” Repetition of “long holidays,” “student” and “get” also limits precision. There are noticeable spelling and word-form problems, including “dehydrate” where a noun or adjective is needed and “reason” for “region.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing climate, learning and wellbeing, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, for example, “because they can learn other skill” and “That help to reduces the stress.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range remains limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur in “there is so many festival,” “children get dehydrate,” and “That help to reduces.” Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “there is an summer holidays” and the long opening sentence, which is difficult to parse. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to understand. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then use shorter, complete sentences before adding subordinate clauses.
