Student answer (Band 5.5)

Education play a vital role in the development of an individuals. Although in many nations, primary and secondary schools give a long break to their students during the summer vacations. Therefore, some people say that it is a good thing because it assist childern to take some rest from studies and came back with the powerfull energy of achieving tasks. Comparitively, others think that this will have a bad impact on the establisment of a child growth.

To initiate this discussion, first we see some essential fundamentals of long vacations. The main motive behind such holidays is to protect our childern from the rising temperature during summers. They do so because the schools of a low ecnomical countries don't have much resources through which they can facilitate their students. Additionally, a further supporting point is that they want that childern should take some rest from the studies to relax their mind and spend some quality of time with their families. For instance, when I was in school my teachers gave me homework during my vacation and suggest me to enjoyed this time with my loved one's. They gave me such long holidays because they didn't afford the AC facility in every classroom.

On the flip side of a coin, there is a school of thuoght that institutes should not give such lenghty holidays. Moreover, they say that this will distract the students from the studies and their aims. Most of the students didn't do study during these vacations instead they waste their time in various useless activities. For example, when I got vatcations I spent most of my time playing cricket and video games instead of regulary studen which made my parents to disappointed from the school decision.

To put it in a nutshell, I pen down saying that long holidays may be proven as a distraction for a child. So, the government will make sure that proper precautionary measurements would be taken in every school to maintain the temperature. This action will not allow the schools to announce for a longer summer breaks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both questions: you explain that long breaks allow children to rest, spend time with family, and avoid classrooms that lack cooling, then present the concern that holidays can interrupt study and encourage unproductive habits. Your personal examples make these points relevant. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the case for shorter holidays is mainly that students may play games or cricket, without explaining how a shorter break would improve learning or routine. The conclusion also shifts to recommending temperature precautions and opposing long breaks, rather than clearly weighing the value of each option. Develop the educational and practical consequences on both sides and make your final position more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall shape: an introduction, one paragraph for the benefits of long holidays, one for the case against them, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “Additionally,” “On the flip side,” and “To put it in a nutshell” help show the direction of the argument. Some linking is mechanical or imprecise, however: “To initiate this discussion” and “On the flip side of a coin” sound formulaic, while “Therefore” does not clearly connect the opening statements. The conclusion introduces a new policy solution rather than drawing together the two arguments. Use simpler transitions that express the exact relationship between ideas, and connect each example more explicitly to its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “rising temperature,” “resources,” “precautionary measurements,” and “distraction,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. For example, “the establishment of a child growth” is unclear, “quality of time” is not the usual expression, and “regularly studen” appears to be an unsuccessful attempt to describe studying regularly. There are also repeated misspellings such as “childern,” “lenghty,” and “vatcations.” Build a reliable set of phrases for discussing learning, rest, and school schedules, and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession with “Although” and a reason clause beginning “because.” Some sentences communicate the main ideas clearly, but control is inconsistent, particularly in longer constructions. For example, “Although … schools give a long break …” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence, and “it assist childern to take some rest … and came back” has problems with agreement and parallel verb forms. Other examples include “they want that children should take” and “made my parents to disappointed,” where clause structure and verb patterns are not controlled. Review sentence boundaries, subject–verb agreement, and verb forms after “make” and “want”; then proofread punctuation and spacing.
