Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some countries, primary and secondary schools close for two or more in summer vacation. There are lots of advantages of long time school holidays and also there are some disadvantages for shorter school holidays . In my point of view, the advantages crosses the disadvantages.
First of all, i would like to discuss about the valus of long schools vacations. The main advantage is students and get a relief from their monotonious classes. One this we need to remember life is not all about education there are soem other parts ass well. In their summer vacation time they can travel to different places and gain valuable knowledge and experience. For example, they can visit their relatives and make stronger social bond and have wonderfull memory with their family. Subsequently they can work on different craft skills, A good example can be learning how to simulate a house or building a tree house which will enable them to inhance their simulation skills. Consequently, the make make a small vegetable garden which can provide fresh food and improve their farming skill and working on the garden requires physical streangth which can be a great form of exercise. Also they can focus on learning new language on their vacation time.
Moreover, if schools issues shorter holidays there are lots of disadvantages. Student get board to attend their classes after having shorter holidays, they dont feel motivated and their result can be hampared due to this situation.
In conclution, I will recommand schools to provide longer hilidays in summer, so that student can fully enjoy their vacation and learn some outdoor activities and enjoy their student life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions and give a clear preference for longer holidays in the introduction and conclusion. The benefits you identify—travel, family relationships, practical activities, gardening and learning a language—are relevant, and the examples of visiting relatives and building a tree house help illustrate them. However, the value of long holidays is mostly presented as a list, with limited explanation of how these experiences benefit students. The case for shorter holidays is especially underdeveloped: you mention boredom, low motivation and poorer results, but do not explain why shorter breaks might be preferable or support this argument with an example. Develop both sides more evenly and make the reasoning behind each point clearer.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on long holidays, a paragraph on shorter holidays and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the response. However, progression within the main paragraph is largely a sequence of separate activities, rather than a developed line of reasoning. Some links are unclear or mechanical, and the shorter-holiday paragraph is too brief to balance the discussion. Improve cohesion by grouping related benefits, using clear references to connect explanations to their main points, and developing each paragraph around one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt some relevant topic vocabulary, including “valuable knowledge and experience,” “social bond,” “craft skills” and “physical strength.” These choices show an effort to discuss learning and personal development beyond the classroom. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “valus,” “monotonious,” “hampared” and “simulation skills.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “make stronger social bond” and “enjoy their student life.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for the benefits of holidays and the effects of shorter breaks would also help you express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, for example the sentence beginning “For example, they can visit their relatives…” and the clause explaining that gardening “can be a great form of exercise.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “Some countries, primary and secondary schools close,” “students and get a relief,” and “Student get board.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “make stronger social bond” and the run-on sequence beginning “Consequently, the make make a small vegetable garden.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check punctuation.
