Student answer (Band 5.0)
i agree with satatemny in many counties primary and secondary schoold close for two month in pakistan summar holiday are aslo celecbrate beuase it need for student relax and enjoy the hilday with family and also do home work amd mental stable.
The first adventage is that summar holiday is useful for students becuase these holiday come in summar so in pakistan summar is very hot so many student do not go to school in hot weather so that why governemnt annoced the holiday and school follow the annocnenment. other then many fant during summar .
The summar holiday give the student lot of fun and some student go to grandmother house and enjoy the holiday in grandfather house which experiene is good and mind is changes after the taught study in school
These holiday is also good for health nd involved in different activites which is best for mental health and children are stroing after doing the physical activites which do the great impact on the health .
This holiday is benefical for those student who add new skill in your life such as some student enrolled in different course like lear computer some student fcous on the study and some student want to try the different and some do the hooby .
I also agree if the holiday are shorter as compared to long holiday some student get bored and some student are not behave well and distrube the routine which folow every day . long holiday is also favaurable for those students who want to learn something diiderent and in these types of skill require a long time.
In conclusion i prefer to long holiday becuuase it gives you more benefit as comaraed to shorter leave you can enjoy the long hoilday more

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions by explaining benefits of long holidays—rest, family visits, health, and learning skills—and by noting that shorter breaks may help students avoid boredom and maintain a routine. Your preference for longer holidays is also clear in the conclusion. However, the discussion of shorter holidays is brief and does not explain their advantages in much detail, while several points about long holidays are repeated or only stated generally. For example, “some student get bored” is relevant, but you could develop how shorter breaks might support regular learning or reduce the need to review forgotten material. Add specific explanations or examples to make the ideas more fully supported and balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces the topic, gives several reasons for long holidays, considers shorter holidays, and ends with a preference. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and ideas are joined mechanically or inaccurately. Phrases such as “other then” and “so that why” do not clearly show the relationship between points, while the paragraph about shorter holidays combines boredom, routine, and skill learning without a clear sequence. Some references, such as “these holiday,” are also unclear. Use a clear topic sentence for each paragraph, organise supporting points in a logical order, and use a smaller range of accurate linking expressions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “mental health,” “physical activities,” “routine,” and “skill,” which helps communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “holiday” and “student.” Frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word forms—such as “satemny,” “annoced,” and “benefical”—make parts of the response difficult to read. Some expressions are also unnatural, for example, “mind is changes” and “do the great impact.” Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the benefits and drawbacks without relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer sentences with reasons, such as “some student get bored and some student are not behave well and distrube the routine.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range of sentence structures remains limited, and longer attempts are often difficult to follow. Errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently: “these holiday is,” “some student are not behave,” and “it need for student relax” are examples. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, as several ideas run together. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using clauses such as “because” and “which” while checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
