Student answer (Band 6.0)
Primary and Secondary schools vecate for two or more months in the summer in several countries. In my opinion, although summer vecations necessary in order to prevent hot weather suffering and relaxing, shorter schools holidays has their own advantages regarding focus and routine or work.
On the one hand, in the summer, weather become too hot in many countries. In the developed countries, most of the schools doesn't have the facility of air conditioning, and if students continue schooling they can be effected by heat waves. For example, in pakistan from June to August, studens are on summer holidays due to extremely hot weather. Moreover, students follows the same routine in shcooling days, and vecations allows them to take a gap from this hectic routine to relax themselves, spend time with relatives and families (e.g. going on trip to cooler areas etc.).
On the other hand, human mind and body become used to with the lifestyel after continously following it, and shorter holidays are necessary to keep students continue with thier routine work, because studends tasks are followed by a diciplined time table, and longer holidays can disturb their habits. Furthermore, shorter holidays are important for schools to keep students engange and focused with their study. In believe, states and education sectors should enforce the policy to keep students engaged with their studies while on vecations. For instance, in pakistan, students assigned some homeworks and assignments of their coursework in summer vecations.
In conclusion, longer holidays are necessary to alot students some free time to rehab themselves, while shorter holidays are good to make students follows the same diciplne for their schooling and education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions and maintain a clear overall position: long breaks provide relief from heat and routine, while shorter breaks can help students retain study habits and focus. The Pakistan example gives relevant support for the weather argument, and the discussion of homework illustrates how learning may continue during holidays. However, some points are more fully explained than others. The benefits of rest and family time are listed, but their value for students is not explored in much detail; similarly, the claim that shorter holidays improve focus would benefit from a clearer explanation of how continuity supports learning. Develop each main idea with a specific consequence or example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the ideas generally remain grouped by topic. This coherent structure is a strength. To make the organisation more flexible and polished, avoid relying so heavily on formulaic transitions and connect related points more explicitly. For example, the move from students’ routine to the value of shorter holidays could explain the relationship between regular study and sustained learning. Some references, such as “this hectic routine,” are understandable but could be made more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “heat waves,” “routine,” “focused,” and “disciplined time table.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy, such as “vecate,” “studens,” “engange,” and “rehab themselves.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “hot weather suffering,” “take a gap,” and “keep students continue” do not express the intended meanings idiomatically. Aim to learn common collocations for education and holidays, and proofread spelling carefully. More precise choices such as “avoid heat-related illness,” “take a break,” and “maintain students’ engagement” would make the argument clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction (“although…”) and a contrast between the two sides. The main meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “weather become” needs subject–verb agreement, “most of the schools doesn’t have” has incorrect agreement, and “students follows” should use a plural verb. There are also problems with articles and sentence construction, as in “summer vecations necessary” and “shorter holidays are necessary to keep students continue.” Work on agreement, complete clause structure, and verb patterns such as “keep students studying.” Greater accuracy in these areas would make your varied sentences easier to read.
