Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie chart along with the table demonstrate the information of how different aged people are a member of a library and how various genre of book accounted for total loans of Little Chalfront Library respectively in 2016.Beside, the bart chart shows total number of loans from that the library had taken from 2007 to 2016.
In the pie chart, it is clearly visible that adults whom aged 18 to 64 held more than half proportion of the chart that is 51% in 2016. The second highest members of the library were children, indicating that after adults they were the people that had more interest in books. Consequently, young adults who are between 13 to 17 years old accounted for 15 % of the pie chart and adults over 65 years old held the rest of the proportion which is 12%.In terms of loan by category, it was evitable that children's and adult fiction got the largest percentage of loan which is 38%. Adult non-fiction was the second highest category constituiting 13% of the total loans. The rest of the categories had smaller loans compared to the previous categories such as children's non fiction , children's DVDs were 6%, 1% respectively.Young adults and adult audio books had the similar percentage loans that is 2% in 2016.
On the other side, by looking at the bar chart it can be stated that the total number of loans were increasing from 2007 to 2011 that cross over 20000. Until then in 2012 the number of loans started to decreased and in 2013 the amount of loan number dropped to below 20,000.After 2014 a rising trend was seen till 2016 when the loans again rose upto 20,000.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover all three visuals and report several key figures accurately, including the 51% share of members aged 18–64, the equal 38% shares for the two fiction categories, and the small loan shares for other categories. You also identify the broad rise in loans to 2011, the subsequent decline, and the later recovery. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: children are the second-largest membership group at 22%, but this figure is omitted, and the final loan total is described as rising only to 20,000, although it is about 21,700. The overview is also implicit rather than clearly summarising the main patterns. State the dominant features directly and check the figures and trend endpoints carefully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it introduces the visuals, discusses membership and loan categories together, and then turns to the bar chart. This makes the information reasonably easy to follow, and phrases such as “In terms of loan by category” and “On the other side” signal transitions. The paragraphing also separates the main data groups. To make progression more controlled, provide a distinct overview before the detailed comparisons and use more precise links between ideas. Some transitions are mechanical or awkward, while the long middle paragraph combines several comparisons without clear grouping. Ensure references such as “the rest of the proportion” have an unmistakable meaning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “category,” and “rising trend,” and the reader can generally understand the comparisons. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling are noticeable: “different aged people,” “genre of book,” “evitable,” “constituiting,” and “bart chart” reduce precision. “Loans that the library had taken” is also an unsuitable expression for loans made by a library. Aim for standard chart-reporting phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. Repeating “percentage” and “loans” can also be reduced by varying expressions such as “share,” “accounted for,” and “the figure.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning “whom aged 18 to 64” and “when the loans again rose,” so there is some structural variety. Meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “different aged people are a member” has problems with agreement and article use, while “the number of loans started to decreased” uses the wrong verb form. There are also tense and sentence-boundary issues, such as the run-on after “in 2016” and missing spaces after full stops. Use past tense consistently for the 2016 data, check subject–verb agreement, and proofread punctuation and verb forms.
