IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The three chart illustrate the age of individual (2016), the total loans by section (2016), the total figure of leans ([redacted phone]) in a Little Chalfont Library, respectively.

Overall, it is evident that majority of population, who were serving in the library, was adults and they mostly obtained loan at the category of children's and adult fiction in 2016. Similarly, total proportion of loans were fluctuating throughout times between 2007 and 2016.

In the first graphic of bar chart depicts that age of community in the library, used to cut into four pieces and there were usually children and adults. It also demonstrates that young adults and over 65 aged population were not interested in reading books at library.

In the second graph of a table depicts the total loans separating into categories. The fiction books were including the majority of loans in 2016.

In the final graphic of bar chart manifests that the total figure of loans rose gradually from 2007 to 2011 whereas there was a dip between 2011 and 2013. The total amount of loans finally recovered and became high to 2016.
