IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.5)

A glance at the pie chart, the table and the bar graph reveals age group of members, the numbers of loan and its category at Little Chalfont Library from 2007 to 2016.

It is apparent from the information supplied that the maximum members of the library are the adult dominating by 51 of total, followed by the children at value of 22. Whereas the adults over 60 and the young adults shares a mere 12 and 15 part of whole.

The number of loans fluctuated throughout the the period with highs in 2016 and lows in 2007. The loans section was dominated by children's fiction and the adult fiction both at the astonishing rate of 38 percent. Adult non-fiction was the third most landed category sharing 13 percent of total.

Overall, the library was dominated by the adults and highest loans were from the children's and adult's fiction section and the rate of loans fluctuated in a duration.
