Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response covers all three charts and identifies key features, such as the dominant age group (18-26) and the trends in loan numbers. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention the highest loan categories, you do not effectively compare them against the lower ones beyond a simple list. The overview is present but lacks a clear synthesis of the data. To improve, ensure you group information logically and highlight the most significant trends or contrasts rather than just listing data points. The inclusion of specific figures is good, but the overall development of the report could be more analytical.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Additionally' and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'it is cleared from the data'). The transition between the description of the charts and the specific data points could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through the data.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to describe the charts and figures clearly. You use terms like 'illustrates', 'trends', and 'percentages' appropriately. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and phrasing, such as 'consist on' instead of 'consist of' and 'slowley' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. To improve, try to incorporate more varied synonyms for 'increase' or 'highest' and ensure more precise collocations when describing statistical data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is sufficient for this task. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'different form of charts' (should be 'different forms'), 'barchart' (should be 'bar chart'), and 'the least of 12%' (awkward phrasing). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent article usage to improve your accuracy.
