Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the charts and provided relevant comparisons. You covered the trends in total loans, the breakdown of categories, and the age demographics of members. However, the report is slightly unbalanced; the chronological order of the paragraphs is a bit confusing, as you discuss 2016 data before the 2007-2016 trend. Additionally, some data points, such as the 2016 loan figure, are slightly misaligned with the provided chart. To reach a higher band, ensure that the overview clearly synthesizes the data rather than just listing features, and double-check that all figures cited accurately reflect the visual information provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices like 'In addition' and 'From 2013 onwards' to link ideas. However, the progression between paragraphs could be smoother. The transition from the 2016 demographic data to the 2007-2016 trend feels abrupt. Furthermore, some referencing is slightly mechanical or repetitive. Improving the use of cohesive devices to show the relationship between the different charts would enhance the flow of your writing and help you achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly, such as 'accounted for', 'represented', and 'remained stable'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'each categories stood at' (should be 'each category accounted for') and 'remained same 2 percent' (should be 'remained the same at 2 percent'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your report. To improve, focus on using more varied and precise terminology for describing trends and proportions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as '51% of adults which age from 18-64' (should be 'aged 18-64') and '16,000 number of loans represented' (should be '16,000 loans were recorded'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and prepositions. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the data. To move to a higher band, focus on ensuring subject-verb agreement and refining your use of relative clauses and passive voice constructions.
