The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The chart illustrates the era of people and the total loans categorized in a city for a public library in Little Chalfont.

Overall, the library member shows a slight increase over a certain period of time. Among the members, Adults held a majority share in the library, while adults over 65 recorded the least category on libraray.

In 2016, the total loans categorized for children's fiction and adult fiction showed the same proportion at 38%. In addition, children's non-fiction and adult non-fiction show about 6% and 13%, respectively. In contrast, young adults' children's DVDs and adults' audiobooks contributed a smaller proportion among all other categories, 2% to 1%.

On the other hand, from the bar chart, it is clear that the total number of loans shows numerous changes over a nine-year period of time. The total proportion in 2007 shows about 15,000, which later rose dramatically at 21,000 in 2010. Although the number shows a steady increase between 2011 and 2012, about 22,000. However, the loan of the library remains similar in the range of 19,000 to 21,000 from 2013 to 2016.
