The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The three charts illustrate the information about Little Chalfont Library located in a town.

Overall, it can be seen from the pie chart that the majory of staff members in the library were adults. Based on the table, we can see that while fictional books caused the most spending, children's DVDs, books for young adults, and adult audio books were allocated to the least resources. Additionally, the total number of loans taken out by the library had increased by 2016.

Firstly, in 2016, most of the library members were adults, with 51 adults aged from 18-64, 15 young adults aged from 13-17, and 12 adults aged 65 and above. In contrast, only 22 children worked with them.

Regarding the money spent on a variety of categories, children's fiction and adult fiction costed the most, each making up the 38% of the total. Meanwhile, other categories each represented no more than 6% of the total, with children's DVDs only accounting for 1%.

Finally, the total number of loans borrowed by the library started at roughly 15500 in 2007, after which it rose steadily to well over 20000 in 2011. Despite the drop that happened in 2013, this number recovered afterwards and reached approximately 21000 in 2016.
