IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The pie chart, bar chart, and table illustrate the Little Chafont Library. The library has a large proportion of adults 18-64, which is almost 51% of the total, and 12% over age,22%childern and 15% of young adults 13-17.

The bar chart illustrates the total number of loans from 2007 to 2016, which gradually increased, but in 2013 it has a small dip. The loan started at almost 16000 and rose to 23000. There are some other categories in 2016,like children's and adult fiction, which is almost 38% ,6%of the childern's are non-fiction and 13%of adult are non-fiction,1%of the children's borrow DVDs while the 2% of adults borrow audio books.

Moreover, the adults of 18-64 are the major loan holders who borrow the books from the library , in 2007 the loan was almost 16000 , and in 2008 , 2009 , the loan was approximatly 18000 , in 2011 and 2012 loan rose to 22000 , and in 2013 loan drop and in 2014 to 2016 loan rose to 23000.
