The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

This chart depicts the information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Overall, for the pie chart adults of aged 18-64 have the largest number of library members and adults aged 65 and over have the least number of membership in the IITTLE Chalfont library. In the bar graph the highest number of loans were for children's fiction and adult fiction also the least has been taken for children's DVDs from 2007 to 2016.

Regarding loans, children's fiction and adult fiction were equally popular, each accounting for 38% of total loans. Adult non-fiction represented 13%, while children's non-fiction made up 6%. Young-adult materials and adult audio books each accounted for 2%, and children's DVDs were the least borrowed category, at just 1%.

Finally, the total number of loans rose from approximately 15,000 in 2007 to around 18,000 in 2008. It remained fairly stable in 2009 before reaching about 19,500 in 2010 and 2011. After falling to roughly 17,500 in 2013, the figure recovered and finished at approximately 18,000 loans in 2016.
