The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given charts illustrate the data about a public library in a town known as Little Chalfont along with the sum of loan in the year 2016.
Overall, it is apparent that in 2016, the majority of members in the library were adults between 18 to 64 years old, whereas the adults over 65 years held a smallest proportion.
To begin with, it is noticeable that, the largest proportion was accounted for adults between 18-64 years by 51%. While nearly greater than a tenth of proportion is made up of children whereas, particularly the adults over 65 and young adults between 13-17 years were marginally same with only 3% difference, 15% and 12% respectively.
It is evident that, the total number of loans taken by members has been increased by roughly 5,000 from 2007 to 2016. Moreover, the greatest percentage (38%) was constituted by children and adult fiction afterwards, the second most loan is taken by adult non-fiction by 13%. Post hoc, 6% of total loan was represented for children's non-fiction, whereas young adults and adult audio books remain on 2%. The total loan taken by children's fiction and adult fiction are the highest in the exact mentioned year.
