Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully address the task. While the introduction attempts to describe the charts, the analysis is incomplete and lacks a clear summary of the main features. The data provided is fragmented, and there is no meaningful comparison between the different charts. The response stops abruptly, failing to cover the bar chart data or provide a comprehensive overview. To improve, you must ensure you reach the word count and provide a structured analysis that highlights key trends and comparisons across all provided visuals.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organised into short, disjointed paragraphs. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, making the text feel like a list of observations rather than a cohesive report. The progression of information is unclear, and the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in contrast', or 'consequently' to connect your sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus that contributes to the overall summary of the data.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on the words provided in the prompt. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'percentage of taken total loans' and 'old age peoples', which are not standard English. The range of vocabulary is limited, preventing a precise description of the data. To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms for 'increase', 'decrease', and 'proportion'. Avoid repeating the same words and try to vary your phrasing to describe the trends more accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('the library highest used'), incorrect verb forms ('bar chart give information'), and awkward sentence structures. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the existing sentences are often grammatically incomplete or poorly constructed. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practice combining simple sentences into complex ones using relative clauses or subordinating conjunctions to demonstrate a wider range of grammatical control.
