IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given pie chart and bar graph illustrate give information about different age group of members they are visited public library in the city called Little Chalfont.while total loans category measured ration in percentage.

At first adults age group of 18-64 they were steadily rising 51 %members visited library in the city . Then children age group of members at 22%In addition young adults 13-17 accounted for 15%. The smallest group was people age 65 and over ,at12%.

In 2016 children fiction and adult fiction were equally popular with both making up 38%of total loan .other one adults non fiction was slightly increased just over the 13% loan, while children non fiction represented 6%. Young adults and adult audio books each made up 2%. Finally, children’s DVDs were the least popular category, at only 1%.

Overall, adults aged 18–64 made up the largest group of library members. In terms of borrowing, children’s fiction and adult fiction were the most popular, while children’s DVDs were borrowed the least.
