Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three charts effectively. You have identified the main features, such as the age distribution, the loan categories, and the trend over time. However, the analysis could be improved by making more direct comparisons. For instance, when discussing the loan categories, you list the percentages but do not explicitly contrast the high popularity of fiction with the low popularity of audiobooks. Additionally, the overview is slightly weak; while it mentions the age group and the peak year, it could better synthesize the relationship between the data sets to provide a more cohesive summary of the library's usage patterns.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Moving further', and 'Whereas' to transition between ideas. However, some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, though the flow between the second and third paragraphs could be smoother. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of information from the pie chart to the table and finally the bar graph is logical and easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information clearly. You use terms like 'graphical representation', 'proportion', 'insignificant change', and 'plunged' appropriately. There are some minor issues with word choice, such as 'taken the loan of 6%', which is slightly unnatural; 'accounted for 6% of loans' would be more precise. You also have some repetitive phrasing, such as 'the number of loans taken', which could be varied with synonyms like 'the volume of borrowing' or 'the figure for loans'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are some grammatical errors, such as 'Children' non-fiction and adult non-fiction taken the loan', which lacks an auxiliary verb ('have taken'). Additionally, 'the number was plunged' is an incorrect passive construction; 'the number plunged' would be more accurate. While these errors are present, they do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, focus on ensuring subject-verb agreement and refining the use of passive voice in data reporting.
