Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three charts provided in the prompt. You have successfully identified the main features, such as the dominant age group in the pie chart and the peak loan year in the bar chart. However, the analysis lacks sufficient comparative language. For instance, while you list the percentages for age groups, you do not effectively contrast them beyond stating one is the lowest. Similarly, in the table analysis, you could have grouped categories more effectively to highlight the disparity between fiction and non-fiction loans. To reach a higher band, ensure you synthesise the data rather than simply listing figures from each chart sequentially.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organised into paragraphs, with each paragraph focusing on a specific chart. This makes the information easy to follow. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple transitions like 'The 2nd table' and 'The 3rd table'. Furthermore, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'It is the lowest percentage ac compare to the remaining', which lacks a smooth connection to the previous sentence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'percentage', 'category', and 'approximately'. However, there are several spelling errors ('rowm', 'loand', 'informatiom') and minor word-choice inaccuracies, such as 'Majorly' (which is not standard in this context) and '2md number'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and proofreading for common spelling mistakes. Using synonyms for 'provide information' or 'highest percentage' would also show greater lexical flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('these tables provides', '51% members are') and awkward phrasing ('at same percentage of 2'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure is often repetitive. To improve, work on ensuring subject-verb agreement and varying your sentence structure by using more complex clauses. Reducing the frequency of these minor errors will significantly improve the clarity and professional tone of your writing.
