IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The chart below illustrates the information about a public library in a town called little Chalfont from the year2007 to 2016 and further explain about the 2016.

There is a substantial ups an downs in the number of loan which is shown in a graph from 2007 to 2016, meanwhile the total number of loans increases to 22000 at the end of 2016. While the age of library members varies children are in 22% , young adults, adults ranging from eighteen to sixty-four and adults over sixty-five are in 15%,51% and 12% respectively which means the adults 18-64 are maximum in number. Moreover, another table shows the loan by category in which children's fiction and adult fiction are maximum and equal in percentage approximate 38%. In addition, children's DVDs is lowest in percentage approximate 1% while the children's non-fiction, young adults, adult non-fiction, and the adult audio books has approximate 6%, 2%, 13% and 2% respectively.
