The response effectively addresses all parts of the task. You have successfully identified and reported the main features of the three charts, including the age distribution, loan categories, and the ten-year trend. The overview is clear and highlights the most significant trends, such as the dominance of adult members and the general upward trajectory of loans. Comparisons are made appropriately, for instance, when contrasting the different age groups and the specific loan categories. The data is accurately represented, and the report is well-structured to cover all provided information without unnecessary detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The response is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. Each paragraph focuses on a distinct aspect of the data, which facilitates easy reading. Cohesive devices such as 'Regarding', 'Looking at', and 'Finally' are used effectively to transition between sections. The use of referencing is clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for an Academic Task 1 report. The flow of information is smooth, and the relationship between the different charts is well-managed throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 7.0

You have used a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey information with precision. Phrases such as 'member age distribution', 'loan category proportions', 'dominated borrowing', and 'temporary dip' demonstrate a good command of topic-specific language. The vocabulary is natural and appropriate for an academic report. While the range is solid, incorporating a few more sophisticated synonyms or collocations could elevate the response further, but the current usage is accurate and effectively communicates the data without any errors in word choice.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 7.5

The response displays a high level of grammatical control. You have successfully used a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'Following a temporary dip to approximately 19,500 in 2013, borrowing recovered steadily'. Punctuation is accurate, and there are no significant errors that impede communication. The majority of sentences are error-free, and the use of tense is consistent with the requirements of describing historical data. The control over complex structures is consistent throughout the piece.
