Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the charts, including the age distribution, loan categories, and the trend over time. However, the response is incomplete as the final sentence is cut off mid-thought ('Finally after it gained increase'), which prevents a full summary of the data. While you have made some comparisons, such as noting the equal percentage of fiction categories, the analysis of the bar graph is underdeveloped and lacks precision regarding the data points. To reach a higher band, ensure that all trends are fully described and that the conclusion or final summary is complete and coherent.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Where, children's DVD's are the least' is grammatically awkward and does not effectively link to the previous sentence. Additionally, the final paragraph lacks a clear concluding thought due to the incomplete sentence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, finished progression would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuations', and 'inconsistencies'. However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation. For instance, 'half of the library members were above their teenage' is unnatural; 'above teenage years' or 'adults' would be more precise. Additionally, 'With a huge different' is an incorrect collocation; 'With a significant difference' would be better. While your vocabulary is adequate for the task, you need to focus on more precise and natural phrasing to move into the higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Majority of the library members' (missing an article), 'children's DVD's' (incorrect pluralization), and 'slightly deceased' (likely a typo for 'decreased'). The final sentence is a fragment, which is a significant grammatical error. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and predicate. Proofreading for basic spelling and punctuation errors will also help.
