The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given charts provide details about a public library in a town of Little Chalfont.

Overall, adults aged 18-64 made up the largest proportion of library members, While teenagers aged 13-17 represented the smallest group. In terms of loans, children's fiction and adult fiction accounted for the largest shares. The total number of loans increased generally increased over the period, reaching its highest level in 2016.

Regarding pie-chart, adults aged 18-64 had the largest percentage of library members. While children accounted for 22%. Young adults 13-17 and adults 65 and over represented as 15% and 12% respectively. In terms of categories, children's fiction and adult fiction accounted for 38% and it becomes the largest shares. Adult non-fiction shared 13% followed by children's non fiction was 6%. Furthermore, young adults and adult audio books significantly unchanged and children's fiction made up 1%, it was the least popular category.

In terms of bar chart, a significant number of loans, made up 16,000 in 2007, and it increased gradually over the period, and it accounted for around 23,000, reaching its highest level in 2016.
