Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully identified the main features of all three charts. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data from the visuals. However, there is a minor inaccuracy in your reporting: you stated that 'Fiction books made for adults and teenagers attracted 38% fractions of loans taken respectively', but the table shows 38% for adult fiction and 38% for children's fiction, not teenagers. Additionally, ensure that you consistently use the correct units (e.g., '21,000' instead of '21000'). Overall, the response covers all parts of the task well and provides a logical summary of the provided information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs that group information by chart type. You use cohesive devices such as 'In contrast', 'Overall', and 'while' to link ideas effectively. The progression of information is easy to follow. To reach a higher band, ensure that your referencing is precise; for example, in the second paragraph, 'fluctuated between the time frame' is slightly vague. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the flow of information is coherent throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey information clearly, using terms like 'dominated', 'proportion', 'accumulate', and 'fluctuated'. There are some minor issues with collocation and word choice, such as '38% fractions of loans' and 'at its low around 16,000'. While these do not impede communication, they prevent the use of more sophisticated, natural-sounding language. To improve, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure that your terminology matches the data labels accurately (e.g., 'children's fiction' instead of 'books made for teenagers').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'The figure showed variations throughout the period while rising gradually before taking a slight dip'. There are occasional grammatical errors, such as 'more then 21000' (should be 'more than') and 'childrens' (missing apostrophe). Additionally, the phrase 'adults exceeding the age of 65 were in minorities' is slightly awkward; 'were in the minority' would be more accurate. Despite these minor errors, your control of grammar is generally good, and the meaning is always clear.
