Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three charts and identifies key features, such as the dominant age group and the upward trend in loans. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical and lacks a clear, analytical overview. While you mention the highest and lowest categories, the comparison between data points could be more sophisticated. For instance, the summary of the bar chart is a bit repetitive and lacks a clear synthesis of the overall trend. To improve, ensure that your overview highlights the most significant trends or differences rather than just listing data points. The inclusion of specific figures is good, but ensure they are accurate to the provided charts.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often repetitive or misused. Phrases like 'eventually' are used incorrectly to mean 'finally' or 'in conclusion', and 'in additionally' is grammatically incorrect. The transition between sentences often feels mechanical rather than flowing naturally. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'in contrast', 'furthermore') and ensure they are used in the correct context to improve the flow of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'varaity' (variety), 'tends' (trends), 'incresing' (increasing), and 'comparies' (compares). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the lack of precision in word formation limits your score. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and practice using synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout the text.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('There are three charts describes'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward phrasing ('it had incresing trend'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
