IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The three chart provide data on little Chalfont little library in 2016 and on borrowing trend from 2007 to 2016 .

Overall, adults aged 18-64 formed the majority of members . While children's fiction and adults fiction dominated loans . Total annual loans grew significantly after 207 before stabilizing at around 20,000 .

In 2016 , 51% of members were adults 18-64 . Children were 22% , young adults 13 -17 were 15% and adults over 65 were 12% .

For loans by category, children's fiction and adults fiction were both 38% . Adult non-fiction was 13% and children non-fiction was 6% . Young adult , adult audio books and children's DVDs were very low at 1-2% each .

For total loans, there were about 15,500 loans in 2007 . This increased to 19,000 in 2008 and then stayed between 19,000 and 21,000 until 2016 . There was a slight fall in 2013 to 19,000 but in 2016 loans were highest at about 21,000.
