The chart shows the change in loan amount for several years in Little Chalfont library.
Overall, there is no continuous change in number of loan amount but the Fiction category leads the chart.
The pie chart shows that the adults who are above sixty-five years of age were the least likely to be visited in the library compared to Young adults and adults between eighteen to sixty-four years of age. Adults between eighteen to sixty-four years age led with the numbers to be visited in library. The loans are divided in different categories like Fiction, with the highest number of loan amount i.e thirty-eight, the non-fiction and audio books i.e around two to thirteen percent , and DVDs with only one percent of loan.
The bar chart is moving inconsistently, it increased after two-thousand-seven for the next four years continuously, but then decreased in two-thousand-thirteen, and then again started to increase till two-thousand-sixteen

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the charts, but the analysis is somewhat superficial. While you identify the leading categories and age groups, the description of the bar chart is vague. For instance, stating the chart is 'moving inconsistently' is not an analytical way to describe trends. You should focus on specific data points, such as the peak and trough years, to provide a more accurate summary. The comparison between categories is present but lacks precision in describing the relationships between the data sets. To improve, ensure you clearly distinguish between the information provided by the pie chart and the bar chart, and use more specific data to support your observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat disjointed. The transition between the pie chart analysis and the bar chart analysis is abrupt. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Overall' and 'but', the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly when discussing the library visitors, where the connection between the age groups and the library usage could be more explicitly linked. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'loan amount' and 'led with the numbers'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'least likely to be visited in the library', which is grammatically confusing as it implies the library is visiting the people. Using more precise terminology like 'proportion', 'fluctuated', 'accounted for', or 'predominant' would elevate the quality of your writing. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points, but it does not demonstrate the flexibility or sophistication expected at higher levels.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, 'adults who are above sixty-five years of age were the least likely to be visited in the library' is a passive construction error that obscures the meaning. Additionally, there are issues with article usage and prepositional phrases, such as 'in different categories like Fiction'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive versus active voice when describing data trends.
