Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The rendered blend chart illustrates the information about a pie graph in which different age groups joined library at a town called Little Chalfont while table and bar charts show total amount of loans and books borrowed by public during a decade.
After taking the statistical data into account, it may infer that in 2006, the ratio of adults was highest as a member as of library which was accounted as 51 and the maximum proportion of children's and adult fictional books were borrowed in the same year which was recorded as 38%, followed by only 1% of children's DVDs were issued from library in 2016. However, the percentage of children who joined library was 22% and the ratio of young adults and adults of 65 and over age was between 12-15%. Furthermore, the percentile for adult non-fiction and children's non-fiction was 13% and 6% respectively. surprisingly, a similarity of 2% can be notices in the ration of adult audio books and young adults.
Turning towards the rest of the data, it can be clearly seen that the highest amount of loans were borrowed in 2016 which was recorded as almost 22,000, followed by other years such as 2011, 2012, 1014, 2015 the amount of loans was just above 20,000. whereas, about 15,000 of loans were borrowed in 2007. Interestingly, a minor difference of 1000 of loans was accounted in 2009 and 2013.
looking from a overall perspective, majority of youngsters were interested in books especially in adult fictions and the minimum amount of loans were borrowed during starting years as compared to the other mentioned years.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response covers the main features of the charts, but the presentation of data is often confusing and inaccurate. For instance, you mention '51' as a ratio for adults without specifying a unit or context, and the interpretation of the table data is inconsistent. The overview is present but lacks clarity, failing to highlight the most significant trends effectively. To improve, focus on grouping data logically—such as comparing age demographics separately from the loan trends—rather than listing isolated figures. Ensure that all data points are clearly labelled (e.g., percentages vs. absolute numbers) to avoid misrepresenting the information provided in the charts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. Phrases like 'After taking the statistical data into account' and 'Turning towards the rest of the data' feel forced and do not always lead to a logical flow of ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which chart or year is being discussed. Improving the transition between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'rendered blend chart' and 'ratio of adults was highest as a member'. You rely on basic descriptors and struggle with accurate collocations related to data reporting. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary for describing trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'remained stable', and ensure that terms like 'percentage', 'proportion', and 'ratio' are used correctly in their appropriate mathematical contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include incorrect article usage ('as a member as of library'), subject-verb agreement errors, and awkward phrasing ('a similarity of 2% can be notices'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalisation. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic sentence construction and ensuring consistent verb tenses when describing past data.
