Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have successfully identified the main features of the charts and provided a clear overview. You included data points for the bar chart and the pie charts, and made relevant comparisons. However, the report could be improved by ensuring the data is presented more accurately. For instance, you mention 'Children and Adult fiction experienced almost same number about 38%', but the table shows 'Adult fiction' at 38% and 'Children's fiction' at 38%, which is accurate, but your phrasing is slightly confusing. Additionally, ensure you distinguish clearly between the different charts in your description to avoid ambiguity.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for the different charts, and a summary. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'However', and 'To sum up' to link ideas. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The column graph exhibits the information about number of books borrowed in 2007 nearly 15,500'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the referencing could be smoother to improve the flow between sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'escalated', 'surged', and 'proportion'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'genres ages of library member' (should be 'age groups') and 'little blow form a quarter' (should be 'slightly below a quarter'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your report. Expanding your range of collocations would help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'The pie charts illustrates' (subject-verb agreement), 'loan taken by category wise' (awkward phrasing), and 'Adults between 18-64 was highest' (should be 'were'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some issues with capitalization and sentence structure. Increasing the number of error-free sentences and focusing on subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
