The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The charts under illustrate data about library in a town owned by the government called Little Chalfont.

Overall, the majority of library members are the adults while children are in the least number. Children's fiction and adult fiction took the the highest loan whereas the total number of loan was relatively high in 2016.

First, it can be seen that adults between the age of 18 and 64 attended library the most, and was least attended by the adults over 65, with students comprised 22% of its proportion.

The highest amount of loan was taken by children and adult's fiction with 38%, with adult non-fiction had relatively the smaller percent of 13%, whereas children's non-fiction and adult audio books had the same amount (6% each). Finally, children's non-fiction had the smallest quantity of debt.

Furthermore, in bar graph it can be seen that the greatest amount of loan taken was of approximately 22,000 in 2016, and the least amount of debt taken was just above 15,000 in 2007. However, it remained at 19,000 in 2008 and 2009 as well, with its substantial increment in next three years at around 21,000. Notably, it decreased slightly in 2013 and went up slowly till the end of period.
