Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all parts of the task, including the age distribution, loan percentages, and the ten-year trend. You have successfully identified the main features and made relevant comparisons, such as noting that adults (18-64) represent the highest proportion in both membership and loans. However, the analysis is slightly repetitive in the third paragraph, where you restate information already covered in the overview. To improve, ensure that the overview highlights the most significant trends and the body paragraphs focus on grouping data logically without unnecessary restatement. The data points are generally accurate, though the phrasing could be more concise to better highlight the key differences between the categories.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Moreover', 'By contrast', and 'Subsequently' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'children got place to second maximum'. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the flow between the description of the age groups and the loan trends could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help elevate the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'proportion', 'considerable', and 'timeframe'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'age members portion', 'minor numbers of total loans', and 'the figure showed gradually climb'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your report. To reach a higher band, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. For example, instead of saying 'the figure showed gradually climb', use 'the figure experienced a gradual climb'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'young adults was ranked' (subject-verb agreement), 'it saw slightly decrease' (missing article/adverb usage), and '21,00' (typo). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the data. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and consistent verb tense usage when describing past trends. Proofreading for minor slips in numbers and punctuation would also help improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
