The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The charts illustrate details about a library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Overall adults aging from 18 to 64 are in majority of the library members and children's and adult fiction has the most loans with 38% in 2016. While, Adults with age of 65 or above are in the minority and children's DVDs had the least loans with just 1%. In the years 2007 to 2016 the number of loans has increased.
The age of library members is split into four. Adults are in the highest number with 51% and adults aging at 65 or above are the lowest with 12%. Young adults with age ranging from 13 to 17 are just above with 15%. Following adults there are children that cover 22% of the total members.
Children's and Adult fiction has the highest loans with 38% each, these are followed by adult non-fiction at 13%. Meanwhile, Children's DVDs has the lowest with only 1% and others such as adult audio book, young adults and children's non-fiction has 2%, 2% and 6% respectively.
The most number of loans came in the year of 2016 with almost 21,000 loans and the least came in the year 2007 with almost 15,500 loans. After year 2009 the total loans fluctuated till 2016.
