Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to cover the provided charts, but the information is presented in a confusing and often inaccurate manner. While you identify some figures, the connection between the data points (the trend over time versus the breakdown by category) is poorly integrated. You mention '15,000' and '20,000' without clearly stating what these figures represent, and the interpretation of the percentages is disjointed. To improve, you must clearly distinguish between the overall trend (the line graph) and the specific category breakdowns (the pie charts). Ensure that your data selection is accurate and that you provide a clear overview of the main features rather than listing isolated, confusing statistics.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused, such as 'On contrast' (should be 'In contrast') and 'moreover' used to start a sentence without a clear preceding logical link. Referencing is frequently unclear; for example, it is difficult to follow what 'this data' refers to in the second paragraph. The conclusion is very brief and does not effectively summarise the main trends. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the flow of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'get loan' and 'amount', which are not the most precise collocations for describing library data. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'frame sheet' (likely meaning 'time frame') and 'table graph' (the image is a line graph and pie charts). Some phrasing is awkward, such as '12 in figure' and '22 in numbers'. To reach a higher band, you should use more academic vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'accounted for', 'proportion', and 'category'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('different age of library members get loan'), incorrect article usage, and fragmented sentence structures. The sentence 'Childs in 2016 divided in more than two categories' is grammatically incomplete. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and pay closer attention to pluralisation and the correct use of prepositions.
