The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The three charts illustrate important details about a library used by the people of Little Chalfont.

Overall, the pie graph demonstrates most of the library members in 2016 were of ages 18-64. While, the genre of adult fiction and children's fiction tied for popularity with the highest loans in the same year. The number of total loans had fluctuations from [redacted phone].

Most visits to the library were by the members of ages 18-64 with 51%, 22% of these members were children. While, young adults from 13-17 years were at 15%. The number of senior citizen (65 and over) with memberships were only 12%.

In 2016, children's and adult fiction books were the highest categories of books borrowed, both at 38%. Adult non-fiction was borrowed 13%. Moreover, rest of the genres were below 10%, such as, children's nonfiction (6%), children's DVD (1%), young adults (2%), and adults audio books (2%).

The number of loans taken by the people fluctuated over the years, it started from nearly 15000 in 2007 and reached nearly 20000 in 2011, in the next two years its experienced a slight fall to approximately 19000. Then rose again to a more than 20000 in the end.
