IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

These diagrams illustrate the ages of library members and loans taken by various categories in 2016 and total loans obtained from 2007 to 2016 in Little Chalfont library.

Overall, the largest group of library users contains adults from the age of 18 to 64 with a proportion of 51%. In contrast, young adults from 13 to 17 years contribute only 15% as the smallest one in 2016. Additionally, regarding book loans, most of the loans, accounting for about 38%, were taken by children's fiction and adult fiction each while just 1% of loans acquired by children's DVDs. Additionally, the maximum number of loans around 22,000 was obtained in 2016. However, in 2007, only 16,000 loans were issued.
