Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement. Because the essay is incomplete and ends abruptly, the main features are not fully reported, and the data is not adequately summarized. While you identified the overall trend of an increase, the lack of completion means you have not provided a comprehensive overview or a full comparison of the data points. To improve, ensure you complete the summary by covering all relevant data and meeting the length requirement to allow for a full development of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at an introduction and a body paragraph, the abrupt ending prevents a logical flow of information. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical way, such as 'In 2007' and 'Then, in the next years'. The progression of ideas is interrupted by the unfinished final sentence, which makes the overall arrangement feel disjointed. To improve, focus on organizing your response into a clear introduction, an overview of the main trends, and specific supporting paragraphs with varied linking words.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'total numbers of loans' and 'the lowest number of loans'. There are also errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'loans were saw' (should be 'seen') and 'gave total loan upto' (should be 'reached a total of'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, try to incorporate more precise verbs and nouns related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'peaked', or 'a significant rise'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'The bar chart illustrated' (should be 'illustrates' for a chart that still exists), 'loans were saw' (passive voice error), and 'significantly increase 19000 to the both years' (incorrect preposition and tense usage). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the existing sentences are often simple or contain errors in subject-verb agreement. To improve, focus on mastering basic tense consistency and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound before attempting more complex forms.
