The charts below give information about a public library in a town called Little Chalfont.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The bar and pie chart illustrates the information about a public library in the urban area called little Chalfont.
Overall, the age of library members of adults accounted is high. Children fiction and adults' fiction were the most popular categories while the total number of loans increased over the period.
In 2016, the adults aged represented 51% of all library members, followed by the children 22%. Young adults 13-17 made up 15%. While those 65 and over accounted remain the 12%. In addition, regarding loan children fiction and adult fiction were equally loan, each making up 38% of total borrowing. Adult non-fiction accounted of 13%. Moreover, children non-fiction represents the 6%, young adult and adult audio book each constitutes 2%, while the children's DVDs were less borrowed.
The total number of loan roses from approximately 16,000 in 2007 to around 21,500 in 2016. Although the figure grew steadily until 2011, it declined slightly in 2012 and 2013 before rising again and reaching its highest level in 2016.
